Care & Maintenance for Coily Synthetic Wigs

To help preserve the curl pattern and keep your wig looking its best:

  • Detangle gently using your fingers or a wide-tooth comb. Work in small sections, starting from the ends and working upwards.

  • Avoid excessive brushing, as this can separate the coils and cause frizz.

  • Wash only when needed — approximately every 6–8 wears, or when there is noticeable product build-up.

  • Use cool or lukewarm water. Never use hot water, as this may damage the synthetic fibres.

  • Use shampoo and conditioner specifically formulated for synthetic wigs.

  • Do not vigorously rub or scrub the hair. Gently soak and cleanse the wig to avoid tangling and disturbing the curl pattern.

  • Rinse thoroughly and gently blot excess water with a towel. Do not twist or wring.

  • Gently reshape the coils with your fingers while the hair is damp.

  • Air dry naturally on a suitable wig stand. Do not brush or comb excessively while drying.

  • Do not use a hairdryer or direct heat unless the wig is specifically labelled as heat-resistant.

  • Avoid heat styling unless permitted by the manufacturer's care instructions.

  • Store on a wig stand or in a suitable wig bag in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and excessive heat.

Following the recommended care routine will help preserve the wig's coily texture, definition and overall appearance.

Tips for Everyday Wear

  • Use your fingers to gently separate and shape the coils for your preferred level of volume.

  • Avoid heavy oils, greasy products and excessive styling products, as these can cause build-up and weigh down the curls.

  • If additional styling is required, use products specifically suitable for synthetic curly or coily wigs.

  • A wig cap can be worn underneath to help absorb scalp oils and reduce friction.

  • Remove your wig before sleeping to help prevent tangling, frizz and unnecessary fibre wear.
