Our Commitment to Net Zero

At Truefaithhb, we are committed to achieving Net Zero emissions while providing high-quality wigs and hair loss solutions.

We recognise our responsibility to operate sustainably and are continuously improving how we reduce our carbon footprint across all areas of our business, aiming for a Net Zero future.

1.Our Key Commitments

  • Achieve Net Zero emissions by 2050, with interim targets set for significant carbon reduction.
  • Minimise waste and reduce packaging materials across our supply chain.
  • Transition towards digital documentation and paperless processes.
  • Reduce energy consumption, including standby power usage, and shift to renewable sources.
  • Lower transport-related emissions through better planning, remote services, and electric vehicle adoption.

2. Our Net Zero Target

We aim to achieve net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2045, or sooner where operationally feasible.

This target includes:

  • Scope 1 emissions: Direct emissions from owned or controlled sources
  • Scope 2 emissions: Indirect emissions from purchased energy
  • Scope 3 emissions: Indirect emissions across our value chain, including suppliers, transport, packaging, and waste

3. Interim Carbon Reduction Targets

To support our long-term goal, we have set the following interim targets:

  • Reduce overall carbon emissions by 25% within three years
  • Review progress on an annual basis
  • Continuously improve measurement and reporting of emissions
  • Increase the use of renewable and low-carbon energy sources where available

4. Our Approach to Achieving Net Zero

We will work towards net zero through ongoing improvements in the following areas:

Energy Use

  • Improving energy efficiency across our premises
  • Using LED lighting and energy-efficient equipment
  • Reducing standby power consumption
  • Transitioning to renewable electricity tariffs where available

Transport & Delivery

  • Consolidating shipments to reduce journeys
  • Working with logistics partners to improve fuel efficiency
  • Offering virtual consultations to reduce travel emissions
  • Planning travel efficiently to minimise unnecessary journeys

Product Sourcing

  • Working with suppliers who prioritise sustainability and ethical production
  • Reducing over-ordering and excess stock
  • Extending product lifespan through repair and maintenance where possible

Packaging

  • Reducing packaging materials wherever possible
  • Using recyclable and responsibly sourced packaging
  • Minimising single-use plastics

Digital Operations

  • Moving towards paperless systems for records, invoices, and communications
  • Using electronic signatures and digital documentation
  • Reducing printing and physical storage requirements

Waste Reduction

  • Promoting reuse, repair, and responsible disposal of materials
  • Exploring recycling and donation options for suitable products

5. Offsetting

We prioritise carbon reduction at source as our primary approach.

Where unavoidable emissions remain, we may consider supporting verified carbon offset projects as a supplementary measure on our path to net zero.

6. Monitoring, Reporting & Accountability

We are committed to tracking and reviewing our environmental performance through:

  • Annual review of carbon emissions
  • Monitoring of energy, transport, and resource usage
  • Ongoing improvement of data collection and reporting systems
  • Regular review of targets to ensure alignment with best practice and climate science

7. Responsibility

Sustainability is a shared responsibility across our organisation.

We encourage active participation from:

  • Our team members
  • Our suppliers and partners
  • Our customers, where applicable

8. Continuous Improvement

We recognise that achieving net zero is an ongoing journey.

We will continue to adapt and improve our practices in line with emerging technologies, industry standards, and environmental best practice.
