Care & Maintenance for Synthetic Wigs

To help maintain the appearance and condition of your synthetic wig:

  • Detangle gently before wear and after washing using a wide-tooth comb or wig brush suitable for synthetic hair. Start at the ends and gradually work towards the roots.

  • Wash only when needed — approximately every 6–8 wears, depending on use and product build-up.

  • Use cool or lukewarm water. Avoid hot water as this may damage synthetic fibres.

  • Use shampoo and conditioner specifically formulated for synthetic wigs.

  • Avoid vigorous rubbing or scrubbing. Gently soak and cleanse the wig to minimise tangling.

  • Rinse thoroughly and gently blot excess water with a towel. Do not twist or wring the wig.

  • Air dry naturally on a suitable wig stand. Do not use a hairdryer or other direct heat source.

  • Avoid heat styling unless the wig is specifically labelled as heat-resistant. Always follow the care guidance provided for your individual wig before using heated styling tools.

  • Store correctly when not in use. Keep your wig on a wig stand or in a suitable wig bag in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and excessive heat.

Following the recommended care instructions will help maintain the wig's appearance, shape and condition for longer.

Tips for Everyday Wear

  • Avoid heavy oils, greasy products and excessive styling products, as these can build up on synthetic fibres.

  • A wig cap can be worn underneath to help absorb scalp oils and reduce friction.

  • We recommend removing your wig before sleeping to minimise tangling, friction and unnecessary fibre wear.
