Wig Longevity
The lifespan of a modacrylic wig will depend on how frequently it is worn, how it is cared for and the amount of friction and styling it is exposed to.
Following the recommended care instructions will help maintain the wig's appearance, shape and condition for as long as possible.
Care Instructions
- Wash approximately every 6–8 wears, or when needed
- Gently detangle before washing using a wide-tooth comb or suitable wig brush
- Use cool or lukewarm water and products suitable for synthetic wigs
- Do not rub, twist or wring the fibres when washing
- Gently blot excess water with a towel
- Allow the wig to air dry naturally on a suitable wig stand
- Avoid direct heat unless the individual product is specifically labelled as heat-resistant
- Keep away from open flames and high-temperature heat sources
- Do not use standard hair dyes, bleach or chemical treatments
- Avoid heavy oils and excessive product buildup
- Store on a wig stand or in a suitable wig bag when not in use
- Follow any additional care instructions supplied with your individual wig
